The 5th Nordic Interdisciplinary Conference
Abstract
President’s address
As President of the 5th Nordic Interdisciplinary Conference on Qualitative Methods in the Service of Health, it is a great pleasure for me to welcome you to Stavanger. We have gathered together at the start of the bright Nordic summer in order to update and broaden our understanding of qualitative methods.
The many abstracts presented in this supplement indicate novel and cutting edge presentations. A wide spectrum of qualitative methods based on sharply focused research questions will be discussed during the conference. Our outstanding keynote speakers will seek challenging issues in the rationale and reasoning contained in our main conference theme: ‘‘Qualitative research in healthcare practice: Challenges in methodology and implementation’’.
We are delighted that the conference participants represent four continents and a wide variety of nationalities. International research arenas such as this conference provide ample opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas about how to expand the knowledge frontier. The organizers will do their utmost to make the conference a meeting point for promoting daring ideas and improved qualitative methodology in this field of health research.
The Organizing committee warmly welcomes you!
Febe Friberg
Conference President
